About

Longevity, Decoded exists for one reason: the longevity world is full of confident marketing dressed up as science, and it's genuinely hard to tell what's real.

Our method (and our bias toward honesty)

Every treatment is summarized from the general research literature in plain language, then rated on the Evidence Meter based on the weight of the human evidence. We rate popular treatments low when the data is thin. That honesty is the whole point. We don't sell supplements, we don't take sponsorships from the products we cover, and we tell you when the answer is simply "we don't know yet."

About the author

Jamie Dewar isn't a doctor, a scientist, or a longevity guru. After losing his mom to lung cancer in early 2025, he went looking for clear, honest answers about what actually helps, and found a scattered mess of hype with no simple way to tell real science from snake oil. He couldn't find the one honest source he kept wishing for, so he set out to build it. This site is the companion to the Longevity, Decoded book series.
